Your employees need help.

Here's an interesting finding. From a recent mental health survey, we discovered while only 20% shared that they have a mental health condition, however what's interesting is 70% of the employees felt they know of a colleague that needs help. This suggests that during this pandemic, many more employees need support.

Here're 3 ways for you to start supporting one another at work:
1. Check in often with one another - you can do this by asking how are you feeling? This's is a good start. If they feel comfortable in opening up, they will naturally respond. Manage your expectation and keep in mind that others need time and be empathetic since they might be having a lot in their mind.

2. Notice the changes in others - approach them tactfully and offer them your support. If you've been working with someone for sometime, you will be able to identify their pattern of behaviour. If you suddenly notice an upbeat person who begins to be apathy or aggressive, that's a sign that they need help.

3. Start a mindfulness class - be inclusive and include everyone because you just might not know who needs help. Mindfulness has benefits in reducing anxiety and helps you to stay calm in whatever you're doing, especially when many of us are struggling working from home and have to balance multiple roles.
